Temari #200807 3" core ball Owned by Denise, Cub River, ID	The first Temari I made I did not have the best of supplies. I used regular cotton crochet thread to wrap the ball. This made for a coarser look than I had seen and wanted. It also made the embroidery more difficult, like working on rough canvas instead of fine linen. After purchasing a good book of instruction I discovered that plain old sewing thread or serging thread was ideal for the wrap. Later I would also experiment with different yarns.
